Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur CG was established by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in response to the growing need and long standing expectations of the people of Bilaspur and central Chattisgarh region. It was formerly inaugurated by on the June 01, 1983 by the then State Chief Minister, Shri Arjun Singh. The University has been named to perpetuate the memory of great Satnami Saint Guru Ghasidas
