The University of Canberra is the Australian national capital's university. Located in the suburb of Bruce, about 10 minutes from the city centre, our campus is set on almost 120 hectares of picturesque bushland.  The University is a single-campus with easy access to a full range of facilities and services within the local community, and the national capital region.  Our size means we can be truly student-centred, providing personal and individual attention with smaller classes.  The campus is easy to walk around and there is a strong sense of community amongst students and staff, with our students saying they are "not just another number in the system."  Here, staff and students know each other by name.

The establishment of the University of Bikaner at Bikaner marks an important milestone in the evolution of tertiary education in Rajasthan, area-wise the largest state of the Republic of India. Tertiary education, which modern universities develop and deploy for the benefit of humanity, aims for universality, but at the same time, it is now being increasingly realized, that it must also prioritize the discovery of solutions for the territory in which it is located. The University of Bikaner would strive, through teaching, research and extension, to achieve a better understanding of the problems of the region in which it is located, in a region vastly different from almost all other regions in India and abroad.

The near relationship with poet Rabindranath Tagore probably inspired Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishor Manikya Bahadur, the then ruler of Tripura, to establish the first degree college in the capital city of the state in 1947 in order to meet the educational needs of the swelling population. it was affiliated to the University of Calcutta and offered a number of  undergraduate courses in conventional subjects. To keep pace with the growing needs of higher education ten undergraduate colleges, five professional colleges and a postgraduate center were added between 1947 and 1987 with a view to offering diversity and flexibility in higher education to students, and also to reach the benefits of education to distant places.

The first university to be established in Australasia, the University of Sydney was established on 1 October 1850 by the Act of Incorporation to promote useful knowledge and to encourage the residents of New South Wales to pursue a regular course of liberal education. The University of Sydney continues to rise in global rankings, confirming its place within the top 40 universities in the world.

The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia's premier learning and research institutions. It is the oldest university in Queensland and has produced generations of graduates who have gone on to become leaders in all areas of society and industry. The University is a founding member of the national Group of Eight, an alliance of research-strong "sandstone" universities committed to ensuring that Australia has higher education institutions which are genuinely world class. It belongs also to the global Universitas 21 alliance. This group aims to enhance the quality of university outcomes through international benchmarking and a joint venture e-learning project with The Thomson Corporation.

The University of Notre Dame Australia was founded by an Act of the Parliament of Western Australia in 1989 and enrolled its first students in 1992. It is a rapidly growing national university located in Fremantle and Broome, Western Australia and Sydney, New South Wales.
