Sammilani Mahavidyalaya

The unyielding devotion of Sri Kanti Bhushan Ganguly (Ex. Hon’ble Minster of Sports and Sundarban Affairs, Govt. of W.B.), the sincere dedication of Professor Rama Ranjan Mukherjee and Professor K.P. Majumder, the kind and active support from Sri Buddhadev Bhattacharya (Ex. Hon’ble Chief Minster of W.B.) have all contributed to the growth and development of Sammilani Mahavidyalaya, NAAC accredited degree college affiliated under the University of Calcutta.

The educational expedition which was initiated with just three pupils on December 12, 1996, at Santoshpur Vidyamandir School for Boys, and with in a short span of seven months the new college building was built near Baghajatin Station, beside Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. At present the college is a four-stored building within a sprawling campus measuring 6 Bighas of land situated in a quiet surrounding far from the ‘madding crowd’ yet having all access to the benefits of metropolis living. It offers Degree level General & Advanced courses – in Science, Humanities & Commerce.
